UK deep tech / IP-led development
Better decisions
for complex
physical systems.
Paleo Industry is a UK deep-tech company developing physics-informed software and control technologies for quantum computing, advanced manufacturing and electrical reliability.
The opportunity
From measurements
to useful decisions.
Our work centres on a practical question: what do we need to know before deciding how a physical system should operate? We are developing technologies to help answer that question in applications where testing, calibration and operational decisions have a real cost.
Our aim is to help equipment developers and operators improve performance by making better use of measurements, predicting the consequences of actions and reducing unnecessary intervention.
Technology programmes
Distinct applications. A shared commercial purpose.
Three focused
development programmes.
Quantum control
and reliability
Software and control methods intended to help quantum developers make better calibration, recovery and operating decisions. Our commercial focus is on improving the use of existing quantum platforms, rather than manufacturing a quantum computer.
Quantum hardware developers and specialist control-software companies.
Industrial intelligence
and manufacturing
Measurement-led decision software for manufacturing and industrial processes. We are developing ways to assess when further testing, an adjustment or requalification is worthwhile, with the aim of reducing avoidable downtime, waste and operating cost while preserving quality.
Manufacturers, automation providers and industrial service businesses.
Electrical reliability
and power quality
Adaptive technologies for managing electromagnetic interference and electrical harmonics. The programme targets better-informed mitigation decisions in complex electrical installations, with the aim of reducing disruption and unnecessary engineering intervention.
Industrial operators, power-quality equipment manufacturers and integrators.
A Paleo research framework
Atlas
Information. Decisions. Action.
Connecting information
to action.
Atlas is Paleo's research framework for developing measurement-informed operational decisions. Its focus is not simply to describe a system, but to assess whether the available information is sufficient for a particular decision and whether obtaining more information would be worthwhile.
The programme brings together mathematical analysis and software development, with potential applications in industrial testing, process recovery and manufacturing qualification. Each application must be evaluated against its own operating requirements and existing practice.
Intellectual property
An IP-led
technology business.
Paleo is developing an intellectual-property portfolio across quantum control, industrial decision systems and electromagnetic management. Our protection strategy combines patent development with proprietary software and confidential technical know-how.
The objective is to build technologies that can be independently evaluated, integrated into practical systems and commercialised through licensing and specialist partnerships.
We share the purpose and development status of our programmes publicly. Detailed technical methods and unpublished intellectual property are reserved for appropriately structured discussions.
Progress grounded in evidence.
Research & software
A mathematical and
computational foundation
Our work includes mathematical analysis, computational studies and research software. These provide a basis for testing specific technical questions and identifying the most promising applications.
Selected quantum programmes
Initial hardware
experiments
Selected quantum research programmes have progressed to initial hardware experiments. These are early research tests, not evidence that the wider portfolio is commercially validated.
Next development milestones
Independent review
and application testing
Our priorities are independent technical review, application-specific testing and prospective comparisons against existing approaches. The goal is to establish useful performance in a defined customer workflow before pursuing wider deployment.
The intended commercial pathway
Building a licensable
technology business.
Our intended route to market begins with a clearly defined customer problem and a scoped technical evaluation. Successful applications would progress to software licensing, integration agreements or technology licensing with equipment manufacturers and specialist partners.
The strategy is to develop technology that can be adopted within existing industrial and quantum platforms. We intend to prioritise programmes according to technical evidence, customer value and the resources required to reach the next milestone.
Evaluate
Identify one consequential operating decision and assess the proposed technology against a credible existing approach.
Demonstrate
Test an application on relevant hardware or industrial data, accounting for implementation costs as well as technical performance.
License and expand
Package successful applications for integration, licensing and repeat deployment through specialist partners.
About Paleo
Founder-led research.
Practical ambition.
Dr Richard Eddery
Paleo Industry was founded by Dr Richard Eddery, a UK-based medical doctor and independent researcher. He leads the company's research direction and intellectual-property development.
The company's ambition is to translate interdisciplinary research into useful technologies, supported by specialist technical review, experimental validation and commercial collaboration.
Join Paleo
Recruiting a
Technical Co-Founder.
Paleo Industry is recruiting a Technical Co-Founder to work directly with the founder on translating mathematical research into robust prototypes and software, designing technical validation experiments and shaping the company's first commercial product.
The role also includes establishing engineering practices and helping to build the technical team.
